I think distinguishing the POLR (and choosing it) from &#039;what looks to be the most secure climbing&#039; is both critically important and a difficult skill to develop. Recognizing the next segment with an END in mind is probably one of my top challenges right now... too often I choose the &#039;sucker sequence&#039; that looks secure at the beginning but leads to nowhere.
