IMPORTANT NOTE: Jes is taking a leave-of-absence from teaching. Please direct inquiries for instruction to other trainers or send us an email.
Jes has been climbing for 26 years and has guided since 2005. Known for her speed records in Yosemite, her climbing style encompasses conviction yet sustainability towards the rock, using both confidence and commitment. She is an AMGA Assistant Rock Guide, AIARE Avalanche Level 1, Warriors Way Trainer, and Wilderness First Responder.
Jes has recently shifted her life focus toward aviation and became a professional helicopter pilot. Her dream is to remain in the mountains, yet alleviate the physical demands of guiding, by flying for high angle rescue operations.
Jes, a Colorado native, has been a leading voice for multiple advocacy and stewardship groups in the Front Range such as the Pikes Peak Climber’s Alliance. Jes also enjoys traveling, stained glass art, and is a classical pianist.
